Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA) on Saturday announced that they are planning to cooperate in the field of research activities for data analysis with a view to enhancing the efficiency of the data issued QSA. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani, President of Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA) said that wise policies are always based on accurate data. He said that QSA aims to provide the government officials and industry sector with revised data on the development process to help them to chart the right path for the future of the State of Qatar. He added: "We are confident that the computer experts at the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), would explore innovative ways to revise the QSA statistical data , data extraction and analysis in order to produce new and advanced packages of data to guide national development plans in Qatar. The huge database of demographic information developed by the Qatar Statistics Authority provides a fertile ground for research for computer experts at the QCRI, he noted .
