Roma released a strongly-worded statement criticizing the reports about Chinese investors. Roma, who said in a previous statement that they were unaware of the negotiations between their shareholders UniCredit and the Chinese investors, were upset by the ongoing reports in this regard. "Contrary to recent reports, there have not been ongoing negotiations between us and any potential Chinese investors," read the latest statement. "We are continually dismayed at UniCredit's foolish and embarrassing promotion of false information in the media - this is shameful and it hurts our team and our fans," it said. "Anybody involved in this kind of activity must be held accountable for any harm caused to our club on and off the field and should apologize to our fans," the statement added.
