Minister of Industry Vrej Sabounjian Friday signed a cooperation agreement with the Beirut Arab University (BAU) Head Adwi Amro Jalal, the President of the Lebanese Industrialists' Association Nehmat Frem, and the representative of the National Council for Scientific Research Hassan Sharif. The agreement aimed at boosting cooperation between the University and the Research Council. Sabounjian said signing such an agreement expanded the scope of cooperation between the program of Industrial Research (LIRA) and the academic institutions via the BAU. "LIRA program made real the exchange between universities that enjoy clear and well defined objectives and are willing to make their capacities at the disposal of industrial needs," he added. Sabounjian praised the wise policy Lebanese Universities' heads have adopted in Lebanon. "Our perspective is to build brighter and more stable future for our students. Industry is the most favorable area of job opportunities. When Nationality is forged within the factory, employees become more law-abiding and, justice would then reign in society, "he concluded.
