The first Sidi Bouzid farming exhibition opened on Wednesday, with the participation of more than 50 exhibitors from Tunisia and Arab and foreign countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Canada). Representatives of several public and private enterprises, investment companies, banks, agricultural training and research centres, and business centres attended the inaugural ceremony. This four-day fair is an occasion to get acquainted with the incentives provided to agricultural promoters and the latest novelties in the fields of training, equipment, exportation and investment. Several scientific forums will be organised on the sidelines of the event, to introduce the region's economic specificities and the investment opportunities, particularly in the agricultural field. Themes on the agenda are: "Scientific Research and Development Challenges in Centre-West Region," "Evaluation of the Farming Sector in Centre-West Region" and "Situation of the Olive Production Sector in the Centre-West and Prospects for its Development Through the Use of Saline Water in Irrigation."
