Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said here on Wednesday small-sized enterprises are conducive to national economic development. Speaking to reporters after opening an exhibition entiled: "Our Ambition 1000 and Challenge Is Continuing", a state-organized exhibition for small-sized enterprises, he said support for small and medium-sized youth projects comes upon direction from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. World countries commenced initial steps for their economic development through small-sized enterprises, the minister said. They are mainly intended to support the Kuwaiti youth march and to provide jobs to the private sector as well as to push forward the wheel of economic development in the country, he added. The government seeks to provide all types of support to the owners of small-sized enterprises, especially following a draft law recently sent by the National Assembly to the government, authorizing a KD-one-billion national fund for developing small and medium-sized enterprises. The minister hailed the exhibition and other similar fairs as a basic database to learn the directions of those dealing in the market of small-sized enterprises.
