
South Korea plans to issue 6.8 trillion won (US$6.09 billion) worth of state bonds next month, the finance ministry said Thursday. The government seeks to sell 1.8 trillion won each in three-year, five-year and 10-year Treasuries, according to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. It also plans to issue 700 billion won worth of bonds that mature in 20 years and another 700 billion won in 30-year bonds next month. The ministry, meanwhile, said it sold about 7.64 trillion won worth of bonds this month, ahead of its original plan to sell about 6.6 trillion won worth of debts.
