Assistant of the President of the Republic, Abdul-Rahman Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi, has commended efforts being exerted by Norway in supporting Sudan and in the framework of the Sudan’s relations with the European Union. This came Tuesday when the Assistant of the President of the Republic received the Norwegian Ambassador to Sudan. In press a statement after the meeting, the Ambassador Jens-Petter, said that he informed the Assistant of the President on Norway ‘s efforts to support Sudanese economy. He said the meeting discussed the arrangements for holding the International Economic Conference on Sudan which is scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Turkey in next March and the endeavors being made by Norway to find solutions to issue of Sudan debts, stressing that his country is keen to boost the economic ties with Sudan.
