Finland's outdoor sports equipment maker, Suunto, on Tuesday launched the AMBIT, the Global Positioning System (GPS) watch for explorers for Asia-Pacific market. The watch was launched last October in Germany for the European market. Malaysia is its second stop before it hit the US market in April. Product manager of Suunto Finland, Kati Ahvonen, said the AMBIT was introduced to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. "The product is designed for those interest in outdoor activities as the watch comes with multiple functions that will suit their needs," she told reporters after the launch of the AMBIT by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Razali Ibrahim, here Tuesday. Ahvonen said the AMBIT has features which its competitors did not have.
