Tunisia is hosting from next November 21 to 22 the second edition of the International Forum for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Pioneers and Inclusive Green Growth in Africa, announced President of the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT) Tarek Cherif. Works of this event will focus on training of human resources (experts, business managers...), creation of an African network of CSR and sustainable development and the issue of green economy, Mr. Thierry Téné, co-founder of the CSR Africa Institute said in press conference held on Tuesday in Tunis. These issues were selected in light of observations made at the first edition of the Forum held last November in Douala, Cameroon. A poor implementation of the CSR strategy in African businesses, essentially due to the lack of a public policy popularising this approach and need skills for its establishment, is the main observation made in this regard. The German Agency for Technical Co-operation (GIZ), one of the partners of this forum, will present a study in which it lists economic players concerned directly or indirectly by the CSR approach, said Mrs. Imen Louati, representative of GIZ.
