Turkey and Kazakhstan will sign a protocol on new joint economic program during Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to this country. Erdogan will pay a visit to Kazakhstan, which is regarded by Turkey as one of its most important political and economic partners in the region, after completing his talks in Pakistan. PM Erdogan will visit Kazakhstan upon an invitation of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and participate in the opening of the Fifth Astana Economic Forum as well as Turkish-Kazakh Business Forum. Trade volume between Turkey and Kazakhstan was 3.2 billion USD in 2010. Turkey's investments in this country were worth about 2 billion US dollars.
