
An agreement was reached on Tuesday in collective bargaining talks between the Turkish government and labor unions. The deal foresees 4 percent in first and second six months, and an increase of 3 percent in third and fourth six months. Negotiations between Turk-Is Union and government have been bargaining for salary hikes for 185 thousand public sector workers in 2013-2014. For workers, Turk-Is had demanded an "inflation+2 points" increase in 2nd 3rd and 4th six months periods and 10% increase for first six months.
