US Vice President Biden: US needs ambitious export agenda

The United States still needs an ambitious agenda to make American products competitive overseas, Vice President Joseph Biden said Friday.Biden told an annual conference of the Export-Import Bank that U.S. workers can still compete with anyone in the world when trade rules are fair. He cited intellectual-property theft as an impediment and said it must stop.To stay competitive, Biden said the United States must reform its immigration system, maintain its presence as a Pacific power, and invest in economic infrastructure.The US economy is about halfway to the Obama administration's goal of doubling U.S. exports by 2015.
