Basma and Amro Hamzawi’s kidnappers sentenced to life

An Egyptian court has sentenced four men accused of kidnapping and stealing from Egyptian actress Basma and Dr. Amro Hamzawi, a member of the People’s Council, to life in jail. After extensive investigation court found Hatem Fawzi Khader Ameen, Rashwan Yahya, Rida Al Sayed and Salem Abd Al Hameed guilty of kidnapping and stealing from Basma and Amro and threatening to kill them and placing a weapon to their heads. The court also convicted seven other men of intentionally concealing evidence in the case. Back in August, the convicted men had hijacked the car driven by Basma and Amro and stole all their personal positions and threatened to kill Basma is they did not submit to their demands.
