MediaCorp issued a statement on Wednesday clarifying that Singapore actor Christopher Lee isn't leaving the company after signing with an overseas talent agency, as some media reports have recently claimed. The broadcaster revealed that it had renewed its production contract with Lee, but would work with Catwalk Agency, a management agency in Taiwan, "to explore [opportunities for] Chris Lee in overseas markets." "We do hope that this partnership will be able to create more platforms and opportunities for Chris Lee so as to make his career a greater success," said MediaCorp. Lee will continue to appear in local drama productions. His manager said Lee's next television project is a Channel 8 Mandarin drama serial titled "Zhong Zi". He will play the lead in the 20-part drama, which will go into production in late May or early June.
