Debra Winger is to make her Broadway debut in David Mamet's new play "The Anarchist" this fall, producers announced Tuesday. Previews are to begin Nov. 13 and opening night is set for Dec. 2, said producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Howard and Janet Kagan. Winger's previous stage credits include "How I Learned to Drive" and "Ivanov" at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Mass. Best known for her work in the films "Urban Cowboy," "Terms of Endearment," "An Officer and a Gentleman," "Shadowlands" and "Forget Paris," Winger will star with two-time Tony Award winner Patti Lupone in "The Anarchist," a two-character play.
