Lisa Edelstein, Janeane Garofalo and Beau Garrett are to star in Bravo's first original scripted U.S. series "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce." Set to premiere in 2015, the 13-episode show is about a newly single woman as she embarks on the next chapter of her life, a synopsis said. "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" is produced by Universal Cable Productions with Marti Noxon, who wrote the pilot. Dawn Olmstead, Vicki Iovine, Meryl Poster and Adam Brooks are serving as executive producers. "'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce' offers a fresh take on women tackling life after divorce with the help of their girlfriends," Andrew Wang, Bravo's vice president of scripted development and production, said in a statement Thursday. "For our first scripted show, we wanted something that was sophisticated, funny and honest. We're thrilled to have the talented Marti Noxon breaking this new ground with Bravo." "Everybody knows this was all an elaborate scheme to get myself on 'Watch What Happens Live!'" said Noxon. "Seriously, I can't thank everyone enough at Bravo and Universal Cable Productions for making 'Girlfriends' something special. I am confident that Lisa is going to be TV's next girl crush; she's certainly mine."
