
Egyptian actress Mirna El-Mohandes died of an illness on Wednesday in The International Medical Centre near Cairo at the age of 36.
El-Mohandes graduated from the High Institute for Theatrical Arts.
She started her artistic career at age 9 starring in commercials.
At age 16, she started to act in television, landing roles in the popular series Arabesque in 1994 and Saken Ussadi (Lives Across From Me) in 1995.
El-Mohandes acted in well-recognised roles in films such as Mr. Dollar, Youm Ma Eetabelna (The Day We Met) and Kalam Garayed or (Newspaper Talk).
Her last appearance as an actress came in the film entitled Zigzag which screened in December 2014.
