Faith Hill's neck scar is from a January operation

Faith Hill underwent neck surgery last month to treat damage caused by an old injury.
Questions about Hill's health arose after she hit the red carpet for last Sunday's Oscars ceremony and her new short haircut revealed a scar on the front of her neck.
A source told People magazine the scar was the result of the 47-year-old recording artist's anterior cervical discectomy and fusion in January. She previously had a procedure on the back of her neck to correct the issue in 2011.
The insider said Hill is now in physical therapy and her recovery is going well.
