
Fox News anchor Heather Childers has spoken out following an on-air incident where she accidentally called UConn the "NAACP" champions. "The UConn Huskies are the 2014 N-double 'A'-C-P national champs!" the host obliviously announced with a smile after the final game. The University of Connecticut basketball team won 60-54 over the University of Kentucky Wildcats on Monday to claim the championship. Childers meant to reference NCAA, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, instead of NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People -- a mistake the anchor later acknowledged on her Twitter. @cd_citrisq thanks Chris.
