'Idol' contender Epperson hospitalised

The agent for Asia'h Epperson said the former "American Idol" contender was injured this week in a car accident in Los Angeles. Details of the mishap were not immediately available, but her representative told People magazine the 23-year-old Epperson suffered multiple broken bones in the Tuesday night crash. "We are hoping for a speedy recovery and would like to thank all of her fans for their prayers and support," Epperson's representative said in a written statement. TMZ.com said Epperson was still hospitalized at the end of the week. Epperson was among the top finalists in the 2008 season of "Idol," which was won by David Cook.
