Indian actress' body found in sewage tank

The body of an Indian movie actress was found Thursday in a sewage tank at a house where the father of one of her accused killers lives, investigators said. While the decapitated corpse has not been definitively identified as Meenakshi Thapa, police said the suspects had led them to the location in Allahabad, Press Trust of India reported. Preeti Elvin Soren and her lover, Amit Jaiswal, were arrested in Mumbai and brought to Allahabad in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Police said the couple admitted strangling Thapa, 26, last month and dumping her body. Thapa has been described as a Bollywood starlet and model. The suspects allegedly promised her a part in a movie in Allahabad and then killed her, India Today said.
