James Caan and Robert Duvall appear in James Franco's selfie

Actor James Franco has posted online a photo of himself with Francis Ford Coppola, James Caan and Robert Duvall -- the director and stars of the 1972 film classic The Godfather.
Franco shared the selfie on Twitter and Instagram Thursday with the caption, "HAPPY GODFATHER NEW YEAR!!!!!"
The actor didn't say where the photo was taken. Franco reportedly is friends with Coppola's granddaughter Gia, a filmmaker and actress.
Franco's latest film, The Interview, has been making headlines for weeks. The big-screen comedy -- in which Franco and frequent collaborator Seth Rogen play broadcast journalists enlisted by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un -- was yanked from Sony's release schedule after computer hackers who had been plaguing the movie studio threatened violence at theaters that played the film.
After the cancellation was criticized, The Interview was released on digital and video-on-demand platforms, as well as in select theaters.
