
Troubled Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was stopped by U.S. Customs officials when his plane landed at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey Friday, TMZ reported. Authorities searched Bieber's chartered jet because they allegedly smelled marijuana, but no drugs were found, the celebrity news website said. TMZ said Bieber was likely flagged after his flight from Canada to New Jersey because of his pending criminal cases; however, he is expected to be cleared because the offenses are minor. The 19-year-old recording artist reportedly is in the Garden State to attend this weekend's pregame parties, as well as Sunday's Super Bowl, with his father and friends. Bieber has been making headlines in recent weeks for his allegedly bad behavior. He has been accused of assaulting a limo driver in Toronto and was recently arrested in Miami for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, drag racing and resisting arrest. He is also under investigation for vandalizing his neighbor's Los Angeles-area home.
