Adam Farrar, the stepbrother of film star Leonardo DiCaprio, has been arrested on drug-related charges in Texas, authorities said. Farrar, 42, was detained by police when he tried to visit his incarcerated girlfriend at the Collin County Sheriff's Office Jan. 24, People.com reported Wednesday. He remained in custody. Farrar has been charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a dangerous drug, theft and harassment by phone. All of the charges stem from outstanding warrants issued by Los Angeles authorities. "Adam Farrar came in to visit an inmate, and we arrested him at that time," Lt. John Norton of the Sheriff's Office told the magazine. "We were aware of the warrants out for him in Los Angeles. He is still in custody at this time. Our district attorney's office will work with the state of California and coordinate what happens next." Farrar's girlfriend was arrested Jan. 20 on misdemeanor charges, including three counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug, theft of property under $500, and contributing to her 6-year-old daughter's non-attendance at school, the report said. DiCaprio is a Best Actor Oscar nominee this year for "The Wolf of Wall Street."
