
Reese Witherspoon has responded to a plea that she take a picture with a sign supporting a 4-year-old boy who has cancer and loves her movie Legally Blonde.
In a YouTube video uploaded by the 38-year-old actress, Witherspoon explains she received a message from a mom named Julie telling her that her son Will, who has cancer, finds comfort watching her play Elle Woods -- or The Pink Lady as he calls her -- in Legally Blonde. The email read:
"Legally Blonde is on the hospital TV and Will has been watching it, like four times a day. When he feels good enough to want something, he wants Legos and "The Pink Girl". He finds comfort in it and loves the Pink Lady. So, if anyone knows Reese Witherspoon, and she would be willing to take a picture of herself holding a note that says "TeamWill", or any other shout out that she can dream up, she would give a little four year old boy fighting cancer (and even more so his mom) a big pick-me-up. Hop on the bandwagon and join #Teamwill Reese?"
Witherspoon complied and fittingly wore all pink for the video, in which she introduces herself to Will, tells him Bruiser -- her dog from the movie -- says hi too and wishes him a speedy recovery.
The actress also shared a picture of herself holding a paper that reads "#TeamWill" on Instagram and encouraged fans to join her in supporting #TeamWill.
