Famed screen cowboy Dale Robertson has died of lung cancer and pneumonia in a San Diego hospital, his family said. He was 89. The Oklahoma native was a World War II veteran and member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Best known for his work on TV's "Tales of Wells Fargo" in the late 1950s, he also appeared on the shows "Dynasty," "Dallas," "Harts of the West," "Death Valley Days," "Iron Horse" and "J.J. Starbuck," The Hollywood Reporter said. Among his film credits are "Fighting Man of the Plains," "Call Mr. Mister," "The Farmer Takes a Wife" and "Top of the World." The Hollywood Reporter said Robertson used his earnings as an actor to build Haymaker Farms in Yukon, Okla., where he and his wife, Susan, raised horses. The couple sold the ranch several years ago.
