Prominent Egyptian actress Sherihan denied rumors that she is officially wearing an Islamic headdress known as a hijab. The rumor began circulating after a photo of Sherihan wearing a hijab was released to the public. The actress said it was taken after she had performed prayer in Egypt’s famous Tahrir Square a few days ago. Jamal Anwar, Sherihan’s business manager, stressed that rumor was only created because after the actress performed prayer in Tahrir Square she kept the hijab on until she went home. According to the internet website MBC.net, Jamal noted that Sherihan is closely following the events of the upcoming Egyptian President Elections and watches all talk shows that discuss the political scenes in Egypt. Sherihan said that she has decided to vote for Hamdain Sabahi, who is running for election and her decision is due to the fact that she was very impressed with his agenda and campaign, and truly feels he is the right man for the job. Sheirhan stated that despite her respect for all candidates running in the elections, she fears having anyone win the election that was part of the former Egyptian regime in any way. From: albawaba
