As befitting Bollywood royalty, the arrival of ‘Beti B' - as Ash and Abhi's baby girl has already been nicknamed - caused a flurry of excitement as the A-list flocked to offer their well-wishes on Twitter, as well as arriving en masse at the Mumbai hospital where the actress was recuperating. Giving birth last Wednesday at the Seven Hills Hospital, after two days in labour, 38-year-old Aishwarya had already faced rumours that she was booked in for a planned C-section operation in order to ensure her baby was born on the lucky day of Friday November 11, making her birth date 11/11/11 - but ended up opting for a natural birth in a move that has kick-started a new trend in caesarean-obsessed Mumbai. The likes of Bips, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Karan Johar rushed to offer their congrats on the newborn through Twitter, with Johar tweeting "Congratulations! Baby B had a baby girl! @juniorbachchan! All the love and happiness… am sure she will be the prettiest girl ever!” For all the adorable details about the new addition to the Bachchan clan, including why Amitabh's already dubbed her ‘his biggest time-waster', pick up this week’s copy of Scene on newsstands now for just Dh7 or subscribe now!
