At least four policemen and militiamen working with them were killed Monday in a blast while searching an explosives-rigged house for suspected extremists in northern Iraq, dpa cited a security official as saying.
Thirteen were wounded in the explosion in the town of Ishaqi, around 170 kilometres north of the capital Baghdad .
