Terrorists suffer heavy losses in several areas

An Armed Forces unit, in cooperation with locals, foiled a car bomb attempt driven by a suicidal terrorist in Ariha area in Idleb countryside. A source in the province told SANA reporter that a unit of the Armed Forces targeted terrorists' gatherings in Saraqeb, Binnish and al-Nairab towns and inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists. In Jisr al-Shughour countryside, army units eliminated terrorist gatherings and inflicted heavy losses upon them. An army unit and  border guards personnel foiled on Wednesday a terrorists' attempt to infiltrate from Lebanon into Syria in Homs countryside. A military source told SANA reporter that the majority of terrorists were killed and wounded while the rest ran back to the Lebanese territories. The source added that army units continued pursuing armed terrorist groups in Talbiseh, al-Dabaa, al-Saloumieh, Akmam, al-Haidarieh, Beit Hajo, al-Ghanto and Deir Foul towns and inflicted heavy losses upon them. The source noted that a number of cars equipped with machineguns were destroyed. An army unit destroyed a terrorists' gathering in al-Tayfoor area in Palmyra western countryside in Homs. An official source told SANA reporter that all the terrorists were killed and injured in the operation. An Armed Forces unit clashed with a terrorist group in Mashare'a Jousiye area in al-Qseir countryside, resulting in the destruction of a car equipped with a heavy machinegun and the killing and injuring of a number of terrorists. Another unit destroyed a number of terrorist hideouts in al-Zira'a and al-Buwayda al-Sharqiya in al-Qseir countryside, al-Rastan, al-Ghanto, al-Sa'an, and Taldahab in al-Houleh area, injuring and killing a number the terrorists inside them and destroying their equipment. Army units carried out a series of qualitative operations against terrorists' gatherings and dens in Douma, Deir al-Asafir and Shabaa towns in Damascus countryside. An official source told SANA reporter that a terrorists' den was destroyed with weapons and ammunition inside in Douma, killing and injuring many terrorists, including Omar Jouma and Ammar Nasrallah who are leaders of terrorist groups, and Hekmat Iskandar, Fadel Ghbeis and Alaa Barakeh. The source added that army units carried out two qualitative operations in Deir al-Asafir and Shabaa towns and destroyed a terrorists' den and a number of their vehicles, in addition to eliminating terrorists, including Ahmad al-Khatib, Ahmad Darwish and Mohannad al-Qteifani. Units of the armed forces today carried out two qualitative operations in Aliya and Zamalka farms in Damascus countryside, eliminating leaders of terrorist groups and dismantling scores of explosives. An official source told SANA that a unit of the army killed members of an armed group in Aliya farms. Terrorists Eyad Abu Kora, Maumoun al-Talawi and Mahmoud Daka were identified among the killed. Meanwhile, another army unit killed many terrorists in Zamalka. Abu Hamza and Abu Salim al-Nabki, leaders of two terrorist groups were identified among the killed. In the town of Daraya near the train station, an Armed Forces unit killed the members of a terrorist group, including the group's leader Hamza Zahwan, Sayyah Dawood, and a man known as Abu Hasan and another known as Abu Akram. Earlier on Tuesday evening, Armed Forces units destroyed a car loaded with weapons and munitions near the train station and eliminated a number of terrorists, including snipers and a terrorist group's leader. In the farms of al-Sakki and al-Arqoub neighborhood in the town of al-Nabek, an Armed Forces unit pursued terrorists, killing or injuring many of them and destroying their hideout along with the heavy machineguns and assault rifles inside it. Earlier on Tuesday, an Army unit eliminated a terrorist group in the eastern farms of al-Nabek and destroyed cars used by terrorists to transport weapons and munitions. In al-Zabadani, an Armed Forces unit stormed a terrorist hideout and confiscated the weapons and munitions inside it, which included assault rifles. The Army Inflicts Heavy Losses upon Terrorists in Bustan al-Qasr, Aleppo A unit of the armed forces carried out a qualitative operation in Bustan al-Qasr in Aleppo, killing a number of terrorists and arresting many others including three of Arab nationalities. Another army unit targeted  gatherings for terrorists near al-Qasab mosque, al-Sjeikh Ruz, Khan Touman, eliminating a number of terrorists and wounding many others. A third Army unit clashed with terrorists in al-Akaba region. Twelve terrorist of "Jabhat al-Nusra" were killed. The army and members of the law enforcement personnel eliminated an armed group who was trying to attack the Police Academy in Khan al-Asal, destroying their criminal tools. Terrorists Ala al-Din Ghanam, leader of the so-called "Abdul-Rahman bin Aouf Brigade", and Basel Haj bakr bin Abdul-Hamid were identified among the killed. The Armed Forces stormed a terrorists' hideout in the area of al-Hwaiqa in Deir Ezzor city and killed and injured all of the terrorists inside it. An official source told SANA reporter that among the killed terrorists was Abdul-Wahhab al-Sayyed. The source added that the army also clashed with an armed terrorist group that tried to attack a military post in al-Salhyeh in Deir Ezzor countryside, adding that scores of terrorists were killed, among them was Khalaf Dahham al-Harbi. A unit of the armed forces inflicted heavy losses upon members of an armed terrorist group calling itself "Liwa al-Majd" who were terrifying citizens and families in Zahrat al-Madaen farms in Hama countryside. An official source told SANA that big quantities of  machineguns and munitions, in addition to quantities of stolen medicine were seized. The source added that the engineering units dismantled 16 explosives planted by the terrorists in Hama-Zahrat al-Maedaen highway. An Armed Forces unit clashed with a terrorist group near Kafr Dalba mosque in the area of Salma in Lattakia countryside, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
