Production has begun in Austin, Texas, on a TV series inspired by Robert Rodriguez' cult-classic film, "From Dusk Till Dawn," El Rey Network announced. The 10-episode, hour-long supernatural crime saga is to premiere early next year on Rodriguez' soon-to-debut cable television network. Rodriguez is to helm the first two installments of the series, which will star Don Johnson, D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz and Jesse Garcia. "If the movie's the short story, the series is the novel," Rodriguez said in a statement Wednesday. "We have assembled an amazing cast and crew, and viewers can expect to be part of a wild ride when the series premieres on El Rey Network next spring."
