
"Flying Blind," a British film starring Helen McCrory, Kenneth Cranham and Najib Oudghiri, is to have its U.S. television premiere this month on Showtime. The thriller will debut on the cable network Sept. 26. "A passionate post-9/11 love story, 'Flying Blind' stars Helen McCrory as Frankie, who is in her '40s, ambitious, unmarried and successful," a synopsis said. "But her life changes forever when she embarks on a passionate affair with Kahil [played by Najib Oudghiri,] a French-Algerian aerospace student 20 years younger. One day, she arrives at work and is detained by the security services: Kahil is a person of interest to MI5. Her well-ordered life starts to unravel in a welter of suspicion and prejudice, as Frankie no longer knows whether to follow her passion or listen to the doubts that increasingly overwhelm her." "Flying Blind" is the first feature film by Polish director Katarzyna Klimkiewicz. It had its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last year and was subsequently released in Europe in April 2013.
