
Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), today inspected a number electricity and water projects being implemented by the authority in both Emirates of Ras Al-Khaimah and Umm Al Qaiwain. Al Mazrouei visited the project of sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination in Ras Al Khaimah which has a total capacity production of 15 million gallons of water per day at a cost of AED 325 million. The station, deemed one of the largest desalination plants implemented up by the Authority, commence production in next July and will be delivered in November 2014. He also inspected the project to establish a water pumping station in Ghalila plant in RAK. The station will have the capacity of the 33 million gallons of water per day. The minister also visited a number of water and power projects in Umm Al Qaiwain.
