Our spy photographers have managed to capture the future Alfa Romeo SUV, likely to be called the CXover. It was undergoing tests under the body of a Giulietta and was spotted in Detroit, USA. Luca de Meo, Alfa's CEO, has already confirmed to the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport that the Milanese brand will have its own SUV, and this photo proves it's well under way. The SUV will be born into the fastest growing SUV segment, where Renault, VW, Ford, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW are already fighting for domination. We expect the CXover to appear next year in order to allow Alfa Romeo to become a global player and we're hoping Alfa decides to call it the Kamal, after the concept unveiled eight years ago (it means "perfection" in Arabic). Whatever it's called, a 2.0L, 300hp engine with all-wheel drive has us rather excited.
