Producing 3100 cars a day, Iran's largest automaker, Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO), registered a new production record in its history. In order to meet customers' demands, IKCO aims to increase its daily production to 3200 thousand sets by this Iranian yearend i.e. March 20, 2012," said Javad Najmeddin, the company CEO. Currently IKCO produces an average of 3100 cars per day and it has made the stage ready to chalk it up to 3200 units in near future. Considering the fuel efficiency and popularity of Peugeot 206 among Iranians, the company is going to increase the number of production of this car from 720 units a day to 1000 units by March. Najmeddin finally restated that IKCO's target plan is to manufacture 850 thousand units of passenger cars by the end of this Iranian year, 423308 units of which were produced by October 22.
