
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Wednesday hailed the country's scientific and technological progress, stressing that the Iranian nation can make progress in every field. Addressing oil and gas experts and officials in Assalouyeh, in Southern Province of Bushehr, the Iranian president said that today, the country is witnessing great achievements despite the enemies' plots. In mid-May, addressing the third Communications and Information Technology Festival in Tehran, Ahmadinejad said, "We should trust our local talents in the country and produce as many equipment as we can inside the country." He underlined Iran's astonishing progress in different scientific and technological fields, and said, "The Iranian nation has been the flag-bearer of knowledge and industry in the world for thousands of years and experience has shown that the Iranian nation has had a jump in progress in every arena that it has entered." Ahmadinejad underlined Iran's achievements in different fields, including nuclear, aerospace, nanotechnology and biotechnology, and said when the Iranian nation can make progress in these areas which are considered as the frontiers of knowledge, gaining achievement in other less important fields is not difficult at all.
