Commercial bank holds team sports to mark NSD

Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) organised various team sports and competitions to celebrate the third National Sports Day (NSD) at different venues around Doha.As part of its NSD activities Tuesday, CBQ distributed special gifts at the children’s floor at Hamad Medical Corporation and at the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) tent at the QCB Marathon on the Corniche as well as for customers at its branches, the bank said.The bank staff competed in cricket, football matches, and a table tennis tournament. Other staff took part in the three kms race along the Doha Corniche.CBQ CEO Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi said, “Commercial Bank is committed to empowering Qatari community initiatives and to celebrate NSD. We are sharing the joy with the future generation of Qatar.”Participation in sport is an important area of focus for human development in the Qatar National Vision 2030 as the country continues to attract international sporting events and invests in the development of its own, home-grown sportsmen and women, he added.
