
China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd., a leading private bank, has reported a 12.55-percent rise in net profit for 2013. The bank's net profit stood at 42.28 billion yuan (6.91 billion U.S. dollars) last year, according to the lender's financial report filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday. The bank attributed the profit growth to rising incomes and improvements in operation efficiency. Its total asset value hit 3.22 trillion yuan at the end of 2013, up 0.44 percent year on year. The bank's non-performing loans ratio stood at 0.85 percent at the end of 2013, up 0.09 percentage points from a year earlier.
