
Prime Minister of Tunisian Interim Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa met here on Friday with the World Bank (WB) Vice President for Middle East and North Africa Region Inger Andersen, who is currently visiting Tunisia. Andersen said in remarks following the meeting, that they discussed numerous reforms that can be made by the Tunisian government in the coming period in addition to ways to activate the national economy.In this context she said that WB used to support Tunisia, before the revolution, with around USD 300 million a year, adding that this number grew to reach USD 500 million. The WB hopes that the annual support for Tunisia will reach USD one billion within the coming three years, she added.
