On 24th November 2012, for the 15th year in succession, airberlin is organising the charity event “Help & Fly” to mark the 25th World AIDS Day. All the proceeds will be donated to the AIDS relief project in Dusseldorf (AIDS-Hilfe Düsseldorf e.V.). Over the past 14 years, this remarkable and highly successful charity event has raised over 600,000 euros to help people with HIV and AIDS. Through the event, airberlin provides more support to the AIDS relief project in Dusseldorf than any other company. The focal point of this diverse event is airberlin’s special flight aboard an Airbus A330-300. Take-off is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Before departure Giuseppe Saitta will invite passengers to a champagne reception at the departure gate. The Füchschen brewery will treat passengers to a hearty warm brunch buffet. Aventem Audiovisual Services will provide first rate stage equipment and optimal sound quality during the event. Once on board passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy the excellent service provided by the highly entertaining crew along with Käthe Köstlich and the Merz & Pilini Circus. A large number of prominent radio and television personalities will also be joining in the fun. After the flight has landed, the show will start at 1:00 p.m. at the Special Event Location, Station Airport, thanks to the support of DüsseldorfCongress Veranstaltungsgesellschaft mbH. Already confirmed are: Presenter and actor Ben Ruedinger (from the RTL series “Unter uns”), comedian Kalle Pohl, singer Ayman, singer-songwriter duo Glasperlenspiel, pop star Markus Becker, Käthe Köstlich, and stage entertainment with the musical “Ich war noch niemals in New York” (“I’ve never been to New York”). This year, once again, the carnival association will be represented by the Carnival Prince and Princess, Achim and Olli and KG-Regenbogen. In addition, every paying passenger will have the chance to win attractive raffle prizes. The first prize this year is a one-week dream holiday for two people to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic with airberlin and Meier’s Weltreisen.
