The Bahrain Airport Company announced last Sunday that it welcomes the launching of a maiden flight by Safi Airways – flight No.: 4Q241/2 – which arrived at the Bahrain International Airport at 20:50 as the fourth international flight conducted by the Afghan national carrier making Bahrain as the newest addition to Safi Airways international destinations besides its main routes in Europe, Asia and North America. The first flight arrived on board A320 Airbus and was received by a number of Bahrain Airport, Gulf Air and Safi Airways officials aimed at boosting trade cooperation relations between the two countries. Safi Airways is a private company founded by the Dubai-based Safi Group. The company has its headquarters in the Afghan capital, Kabul. The company currently owns two A320-200 Airbus and Boeing 767-200 aircrafts which fly to various destinations served by the company in the region. Passengers who would like to fly the Bahrain-Kabul route on board Safi Airways flights may purchase their tickets via the company's website: (www.safiairways.com) or from any of IATA's accredited travel agencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
