
The Egyptian tourism authority chief Naser Hamdy met on Sunday with the Mexican deputy tourism minister and the head of Mexico's tourism agency to discuss the latest developments in Egypt. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Egyptian Federation of Tourism El-hamy El-Zayat, the deputy chairman of the Travel Agents Association Mohammed Fayez and archaeologist Zahi Hawass. Hamdy asserted that tourist destinations in Egypt are totally safe and ready to receive tourists from all around the world including Mexicans. The Mexican delegation urged to organize a Mexican cultural week in Egypt as well as an Egyptian cultural week in Mexico. They also invited the ETA to participate in a Mexican exhibition due to be held on May 6-9 in Cancun city in Mexico.
