Citizens of Qatar would be able to enter the United States without any hassles following the enabling of a new international traveller programme called 'Global Entry', the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said. Global Entry programme makes easy for Qatar Citizens the process of entering various ports within the US. This initiative is part of the co-operation between the MoI and the US Department of Homeland Security following an agreement between the two ministries to enable the international traveller programme. MoI's International Co-operation Department Director Brigadier Saud Abdullah Al Mahmoud said that this programme would ease the travel procedures for citizens of Qatar seeking entrance at various US ports. They can pass through the gates of the international traveller 'Global Entry' at various US ports without going through the usual procedures applied at these airports. Qatar citizens holding a valid passport and visa to the US can register with Global Entry programme by paying a fee of US $100. The MoI has urged all Qatar citizens wishing to travel to the US to register by filling the form available on the website www.globalentry.gov. The applicants will be sent an email to fix an appointment for submitting the required data at the office of 'International Traveller' programme at Doha International Airport, the MoI said. (QNA)
