
The Jordan Society of Tourism & Travel Agents (JSTA) will soon be launching a new tourism programme called ‘Meditation Tourism’, as reported in Jordan News Agency. The programme, being launched in cooperation with the Jordan Meditation Club, aims to attract more tourists to Jordan and is positioning itself as a value-added activity for various Jordanian tourism products. The first Meditation Tourism exercise will be held at the Dead Sea shores will continue throughout the year on every Friday. Later, Petra and Wadi Rum in the south of Jordan will be added to the Meditation Tourism programme, according to Nyazi Shabaan, the man behind the initiative. He affirmed that international experts have called these three areas the ‘Golden Triangular’. The initiative, he added, aims to put Jordan on the international meditation tourism map.
