
Kuwait is to allow all its Embassies abroad to issue all types of visas. The Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, has commissioned Under-Secretary Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Fahad to give instructions to the General Department of Citizenship and Travel Documents and the General Department of Immigration to allow Kuwaiti Embassies and General Consulates abroad, in cooperation and coordination with the Foreign Ministry and hotels, to directly issue visas of all types; tourism, commercial, and family, the Ministry said in a statement which was carried by the state run news agency. Authority will be given to embassies to issue the visas in accordance with laws, procedures, requirements, regulations, and necessary documents, added the statement, but did not mention when the process would begin.
