The leading plan for tourism development, which lasts until 2030 represents a strategic framework and a reference for Algeria tourist policy aiming at diversifying the national economy and attract foreign investments as alternative to the dependency to hydrocarbons. The leading plan for tourism development is based on the 2030 national scheme of town planning (SNAT 2030) which highlights ways to achieve sustainable development in all sectors, including tourism. This plan reflects the will of the Algerian state to enhance the natural, ecological, cultural, historical and archaeological potential of the country. It also highlights the directions of tourism development strategy in the context of sustainable development through the promotion of tourism potential available nationwide and support investment in the tourism sector. The leading plan for tourism development in 2030 also aims to make tourism an alternative to hydrocarbons and meet the same means to achieve sustainable tourism development. The importance of cooperation for the recovery of the sector The plan emphasizes the need to ensure a permanent dialogue in order to establish a relationship based on "transparency" between the state and all economic operators for the "revival" of the tourism sector in Algeria. This plan emphasizes public authorities’ readiness to support investors and industry professionals, giving them the necessary guidance and support to the business, partner institutions and centers of decision, both at national and central level.
