Sip Riesling all summer long at Four Seasons

Hotels and resorts across the Americas participate in second nation-wide summer of Riesling event. WHAT: An opportunity to discover the complexity and breadth of what some argue is the world’s greatest grape. This summer Four Seasons hotels and resorts across the Americas have joined forces with Riesling evangelist Paul Grieco of Terroir Wine Bar in New York City to showcase this often misunderstood wine during the second nation-wide Summer of Riesling. Since 2008 the Summer of Riesling has been a growing movement within the wine world and in 2012 features more than 500 participating restaurants and bars. As the largest hotel company to show such wide-spread international support, bars, lounges and restaurants within select properties from Baltimore to Costa Rica will augment their wine offerings by pouring three distinct Rieslings by the glass until September 21, 2012. And, to spotlight the wine’s birthplace, each hotel and resort will participate in the 31 Days of German Riesling event, adding additional German selections to their menus for one-month only. WHEN: Now through September 21, 2012 HOW: Visit a participating hotel and order a glass of the featured Rieslings. Four Seasons sommeliers will be on hand and eager to engage in conversations about the wine’s balance, delicacy, history, and more. All featured Summer of Riesling wines will be offered by the glass at each location; tasting portions and flights of featured wines may also be available; offerings and pricing varies from property to property.
