
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Dubai Office recently conducted a number of marketing activities. The initiative was conducted to build confidence among tourists and tourism industry in the Middle East over current political demonstrations in Bangkok. During this week, TAT Dubai Office and the Europe, Africa and Middle East market division organised a road show to Tehran and Isfahan, Iran. The road show was held from 13 – 15 January to provide “as it happens” information with fast facts for travel agents. A familiarisation trip to Phuket and Phang-Nga is set to be held from 19-24 January 2014. Simultaneously, the new Amazing Thailand: It Begins with the People advertising campaign was also launched in Bahrain. The board also revealed plan to organise more marketing activities this year including a pre-ATM (Arabian Travel Market) 2014 road show, a Thai Food Festival and joint promotions with Gulf Air.
