
Tourism Minister Hisham Zazou, State Minister ofAntiquities Mohamed Ibrahim, EU Ambassador to Egypt James Moran and 20 of theaccredited European ambassadors to Egypt inaugurated Wednesday a replica ofTutankhamun's tomb here.The event, which was held in the house of the Discoverer of the Tomb ofTutankhamun, Howard Carter, comes as an indication that the Egyptian tourism isrebounding after suffering its worst slump in three decades.The project will provide the opportunity for visitors to admire the ancient Egyptianroyal tomb and learn the history of its discovery.It will also encourage the necessary conservation of the original tomb.The project was funded by Madrid-based Factum Arte organization.
