
Yemeni poet el-Erian releases his second book
Yemeni poet Matahari Bin-Ali el-Erian celebrated the second edition of his book on Wednesday, praising the "rich heritage" of Yemen. The writer's novel
, Yemeni Lexicon in Language and Heritage was issued by Mithaq Institution for Printing and Publishing.
Talking to Arab Today post celebrations, el-Erian affirmed that the latest edition included several new additions of Yemeni linguistics, including over 3,000 expressions that can be provided in Arab dictionaries.
The poet stressed that linguistic experts focused on Bedouin expressions, while ignoring urban expressions, adding that the language of Yemenis was written on rocks 2,000 years before others.
A large number of Yemeni politicians and intellectuals attended the celebration, in addition to leaders of the cultural institutions in Yemen.
